[Floating Floor Method Application Examples] Solid Sound Transmission Measures

Introducing examples of measures taken to address issues such as ship horn sounds, sound insulation between halls, and docking vibrations!

We would like to introduce examples of the application of floating floor methods in solid sound transmission countermeasures. Buildings adjacent to railways, such as hotels and music facilities, require measures to reduce the impact of vibrations and solid-borne sound generated during train operations, as the railway facilities are part of an integrated structure. At the Shanghai Symphony Hall, vibration and noise from nearby subway tracks were addressed through building support using coil springs, while a research facility implemented noise control measures with a floating floor structure using coil springs. 【Case Summary (Excerpt)】 <Shanghai Symphony Hall> ■ Purpose: Concert hall (vineyard type, 1,200 people) ■ Objective: Countermeasures for vibration and noise from nearby subway tracks ■ Specifications ・Building weight: 37,500t ・Vibration isolation natural frequency: 3.6Hz *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
